The Fast Track is an expedited and concentrated JTS training program. The training will be offered online for two and half days – 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, with homework requirements between sessions. The first cohort will start in November 2022 and the second cohort in early January 2023. Jobseekers will be screened and interviewed to see if they qualify.
To qualify for the JTS Bootcamp Fast Track program you need the following:
- Previous/related experience in manufacturing and logistics or a similar work environment
- Be located in or can travel to jobs in the Peel Halton region (Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, Halton Hills, Milton, Burlington, Oakville)
- Be registered to work in Canada
- Not attending school full-time
- Be able to understand, speak and read basic English
- Be able to handle physical work. For example, lift a minimum of 30 lbs/14kg, stand for long periods, be comfortable doing the same movement for a long time
- Be able to count and do basic math
- Be able to attend a online training for 2.5 days in November 2022 (Cohort 1) or January 2023 (Cohort 2)
- Be available for full-time work as of December 2022 (Cohort 1) or February 2023 (Cohort 2)
- Be able to accept an entry level position in manufacturing and logistics
- Age 18+ preferred
- Have a resume prepared and ready before bootcamp training begins
- Complete 1 hour of online training in advance of the bootcamp related to WHMIS and Personal Protective Equipment
