    We will arrange for assistance in your job search, which includes steps such as helping you with Intake and assigning a Counselor for you, who will provide one to one counseling and guidance on: Career planning Resume preparation, customizing resumes & targeted applications Mock interview prep before your real interview Mentoring and Networking events Job fairs and prescreening, job matching, placements etc Job offer negotiations help if needed Helping you to retain that job Follow up for a year and support once you start a job. Even after you are hired, we will remain in touch and help you with holding on to or retaining that job, if needed Employment Ontario Program assists job seekers in strengthening their independent job search (through resume review, interview prep, network strategies, etc) to be more marketable in the workforce. We have complementary services where Employer may approach us with potential openings in which we can help refer clients to relevant opening, however we are not a placement agency with a list of jobs for clients to choose from.   • Learn Everyday Technology Program

    Training

    COSTI – Brampton is currently accepting registrations for the upcoming Learn Everyday Technology classes, which starts  on Tuesday, July 18 (morning and evening clasess). This training program will help residents living in Peel Region develop digital literacy and essential skills needed for employment and daily life activities. The training also seeks to increase basic language and terminology associated with everyday technology. Classes are held in person and online. In-person classes are held Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and online classes are held Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The course consists of 25 hours of training over 5 weeks. Chromebooks will be lent to individuals who do not have access to a computer. The Learn Everyday Technology program is available to social assistance recipients, seniors and immigrants. Topic areas include: Basic computer knowledge – settings, files, folders, organizing Emails – creating accounts, managing subfolders, attachments, and other features Online navigation – browsers, effective searches, filters, keywords, types of files to download Online job searching Internet banking and shopping Online security, avoiding scams, malware, virus protection apps, etc. The Learn Everyday Technology program is supported by the Region of Peel Digital Literacy Fund.
